INTERN KITCHEN ASSISTANT

Dates: early June to early August 2023

Serving as part of local summer ministry experiences, you'll be invested in by missionaries as you learn more about your gifts and passions. Our hope is that you will grow in your relationship with God, expand your skills, be more prepared to disciple people from other cultures, and perhaps discern a long-term call to missions and ministry.

Use your skills in the kitchen to help with meal preparation and meal service, assist with clean up, and complete other projects at the Peña de Horeb camp.

Responsibilities

• help with meal preparation and meal service, assist with clean up, and perform other duties as assigned.

• Observe and experience missions in Spain through the services provided through the camp.

• See the team in action, participate in various meetings, and see what it's like to serve in this kind of ministry.

• Receive coaching to help you grow spiritually through discipleship.

Skills

• 1 year of Food service experience

• GCSE qualifications

• Some Higher Education preferred

• Basic Spanish language skills or willingness to learn

• Ability to relate well with people

• Ability to carry up to 50 pounds

• Engage refugees directly on the streets of Catania and within the team’s ministry center.

• Participate in activities to engage individuals and groups of refugees, including games, bicycle repairs, cookouts, and other activities. 

• Share your testimony and the Gospel. 

• Disciple new and existing individuals and groups who have expressed an interest in pursuing God through the scriptural stories using the Group biblical discovery process.

Term: 1 year

Impact the lives of missionary kids, international families and Mozambicans by serving at CAM.

Encourage our current teachers serving in the school.

Criteria: Relevant teaching qualifications. 
 

Embark is a 1-12 month cross-cultural Christian mission experience for college-aged young adults.
