setting us up upon a rock

Good evening,

Psalm 27 is amazing, where David takes comfort that no matter the circumstances, he knows God will uphold him and protect him. Regardless what harm tries to come against us, we know that we are secure and safe in God’s protection.  The important distinction is that we will definitely face trials, but we know God is ‘setting us up upon a rock.’ (v5) We all know who this rock is!  I also love verse 12, where God protects us from ‘such as breathe out cruelty.’  There are so many today who constantly criticise, maybe that colleague, neighbour, maybe online news is wearing you down, whatever trial you are facing now, just remember that God has promised to strengthen your heart.  He will hide you in His pavilion, where you will find the strength to go on another while.
