Mozambique Somos Nós

Somos Nós (previously Helping Hands) is a ministry in Maputo, Mozambique, started by OMS UK missionaries, Melvin and Sharon Kelly.

Purpose:
• To mobilise believers from our churches (in Mozambique) to be a helping hand for people with disabilities in our communities.
• Listen, pray, and share the hope of the Gospel with people with disabilities and their families.

How this is done:
• Visiting people with disabilities in their homes.
• Blessing people with a wheelchair, walking aid, or crutches.
• Maintaining, repairing and altering wheelchairs.
• Having special programmes (special services, craft lessons) for people with disabilities and invite them to come.
• Our prayer is that the neediest and most marginalised in the community will be touched by the body of Christ, the hands and feet of Jesus!

Support this work:
• If you are a nurse, doctor, OT, physiotherapist, or engineer come to Mozambique short or long term and share your skills with the team.
• Bless people through financial giving towards the purchase of wheelchairs.
