Salamon is making disciples. He is a RNV Pastor focused on forming and reproducing disciples, churches and servant leaders to touch, change and transform his town. Salamon stands amidst the rubble that was once his home. He is not focused on his own loss, but rather the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those around him. A disciple of Jesus. He sees the opportunity to show tangible love in a meaningful way, building long-term trusting relationships that will open the door wide for the gospel, for discipleship of new believers and the formation of churches and leaders that will serve their communities for generations.

The team in Guatemala serving with Red Nueva Vida has recently experienced several devastating earthquakes. Earthquakes are normal in Guatemala but normally the epicenters are closer to the west side of Guatemala or in the Pacific Ocean. The community where Salamon ministers is called Santa Maria. This community has experienced the brunt of these devastating earthquakes. The water pipes were damaged so they have no water. They were left without electricity for three days and the roads are blocked. 80% of the houses are badly damaged. It is a very difficult situation. They ran out of food in the stores and vehicles cannot enter to supply the food. It is a community of 45,000 inhabitants. The RNV churches in Guatemala have already raised £750 and donated much in kind. They have joined together travelling long distances carrying supplies in by hand. Working with the church members in Santa Maria they have already seen People being provided for, relationships formed, and doors open to share the love of Jesus. As we respond to this need, we seize an opportunity to share the practical love of Jesus and His eternal message of hope.

We would like to raise £15,000 to help provide food, water, water filters and help with some light reconstruction. We have begun to rebuild Pastor Salamon’s simple home. He has already started a discipleship group and the three families who are a part of this group are busy serving their community, but they need our support.

Would you come alongside us in this effort to provide essential physical needs? A gift of £80 can feed a family of 4 for a month.
