Bethesda Medical Centre

Bethesda Medical Centre has been serving the population of Northern Haiti for more than 60 years. The mission of Bethesda is to share the hope of Christ through compassionate healthcare.

Haiti has a very weak healthcare system, with roughly 40% of the population lacking access to basic healthcare. Many people in Haiti die from a preventable, treatable illness such as diarrhea, infections and TB. Sadly, 1 in 17 children will die before they reach their 5th birthday. Our clinic provides over 16 different medical services which includes general consultation, HIV/AIDS clinc, tuberculosis clinic, dental, digital X ray, paediatrics, physiotherapy and more. Everyday our staff meet to pray for the day ahead and at the same time, Bethesda's pastor shares from God's word with patients who are waiting. Throughout the day our staff take opportunities to share the Gospel and pray with patients bring them not only physical care but also spiritual care. When a patient comes to Bethesda they pay a small amount of what it actually costs to provide treatment. For those who cannot afford to pay they will never be turned away and our staff will always provide treatment even when no where else will.

Our long term goal is to purchase property and build a new facility which will improve our quality of care and enable us to reach more people with medical care and the Gospel. Our current facility is over 60 years old and is very difficult to maintain and upkeep to a high standard. Please pray with us to find a suitable property and that God would provide the necessary funding to purchase property and build new Bethesda Medical Centre.
