Through teaching English in South Korea, the TESOL Specialist will support the local church, make connections and engage in outreach to communities of unreached people.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and teach well developed and engaging lessons.
Effectively and appropriately differentiate instruction to accommodate students with a wide range of English language skills.
Select and sequence appropriate materials, resources, and approaches according to the learners.
Engage in study the language and strive for a basic level of proficiency (short term worker) or a high level of proficiency (long term worker).
Support the local church in their outreach events through the use of English teaching.
Support the general ministry of the field.
Weave the compassion of Christ into all tasks.

Criteria
- Flexible.
Excellent oral and writing skills.
Problem-solving capability.
Demonstrate good critical thinking skills to understand student issues.
Excellent listening and questions skills.
Basic computer literacy.
Christ-like character.
Education and Experience Requirements.
Experience in ESL/TESOL or relevant bachelor's degree preferred.
Mission experience and/or cross-cultural experience a plus.

- This is a support-based position that involves raising financial support through ministry partners for salary and other expenses.
