Ensure that missionary candidates are shepherded and cared for through the onboarding, pre-field, and deployment process so that disciples, churches, leaders, and missionaries can be multiplied all for the glory of God.
Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor accepted missionary candidates from acceptance to field deployment.
Advocate for and walk alongside candidates as they prepare for their transition to field of ministry.
Collaborate with Human Resource, Missionary Care, Training, Mobilization, and OMS Global Departments to ensure candidates are sent well and with excellence to their field of service through:
Frequent check-in meetings with the candidate
Ensuring the completion of orientation and onboarding tasks
Enrolling in fundraising training
Having a funding support coach
Researching the appropriate visa for the country of service
Researching language school options
Developing landing plans
Demonstrate the love of Christ in personal conduct, interactions with others, and with integrity while performing the duties in support of the mission and purpose of One Mission Society.
Learn, operate, and seek to improve processes of the onboarding, pre-field, and deployment journey to reduce barriers to missionary engagement.
Represent OMS as needed at events, colleges, Perspectives classes, and other key events.
Oversee the OMS Summer Internship program. This is a key part of mobilizing the next generation into missions by providing a structured, meaningful, and spiritually enriching internship experience. Responsibilities include:
Manage all aspects of the OMS USA Summer internship program.
Work with departments to create job descriptions.
Collaborate with the Mobilization Department to vet candidates.
Oversee the application process.
Conduct interviews with department heads.
Plan and manage the interns time while on the OMS campus in concert with each department.
Plan a short term overseas missions experience for the interns.

Criteria
- College degree or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated strength in administration and passion for utilizing administrative gifts.
Comfortable using technology to conduct work and manage a heavy email workload.
Passion for missions and interest in One Mission Society.
Ability to write and communicate clearly and with empathy.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills.
Winsome interpersonal and communication skills in person, in writing, video calls, and over the phone.
Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
Familiarity with Zoom and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, etc.).
Important Information
- This position is fully paid by One Mission Society and does not require raising financial support.
Salary Range: $41,000-$51,000
