The Church Development Coordinator will lead the Church Development Team to help OMS partner churches identify needs and develop effective models and/or ministries to share their faith through word and deed. Church Development may include formal and non-formal theological education, practical training, ministry partnerships, and much more that is needed for the growth and development of the local church. However, the aim of this team is to assist the local church to impact the community and beyond with the message of the Gospel and through deeds of compassion. The goal is church development for community impact.

This role is available in the Asia Pacific Regional Hub based in South Korea.


Responsibilities



    Will work with disciple-making and church planting teams to assist churches in becoming dynamic and healthy.

    Coach and support team members, helping them grow in their giftings and service to the local church.

    Research and use available resources to help pastors and church leaders understand their demographics, sociological trends, needs and opportunities to engage and provide relevant ministries in their context.

    Help churches recognize their assets and opportunities to become the solution.

    Provide training, presentations and ongoing accompaniment to assist the local church fulfil the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment.

    Provide metrics and reports as required by leadership.

    Support the general ministry of the field.

    Weave the compassion of Christ into all tasks.

Criteria



    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

    Experience in church ministry (required)

    Demonstrable experience in leading a team

    Mission experience/ Cross-culturally experience (highly desired)

    Ability to network with churches, community leaders and other ministries.

    Excellent communication skills.

    Demonstrated personal spiritual maturity.

    Ability to lead and inspire team members in the area of church development for community impact.

    Language fluency desired or ability to work well through translators.

    This is a support-based position that involves raising financial support through ministry partners for salary and other expenses.
