Prayer Ministry & Discipleship

Philip serves as the director of Theological Education for OMS. Fiona serves with the OMS World Intercessors team and coordinates the Esther Project – equipping women to make disciples among young women aged 15–25. They have been with OMS since 2017; initially based at World Headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana, USA, and since 2024 in the London area, UK.

The Theological Education team that Philip coordinates come alongside the many Bible colleges, seminaries, and training programmes around the world that partner with OMS. They also promote deeper theological understanding among missionaries and throughout the organisation. Philip has a passion for engaging people with the Bible, helping them to interpret it within its original contexts, and applying it to their own situation. God gives amazing opportunities to teach ministry students through intensive courses at OMS-partner theological colleges in other countries, both online and in person. He also builds up relationships with international partners who are leading ministry training and travels occasionally to support and encourage them as they equip church leaders for the nations.

Fiona’s passion is to equip and encourage women as disciple-makers. She delights in building up leaders around the world by developing written resources, training trainers, and praying for God’s transforming Spirit to move in young women aged 15–25. She also loves to pray for nations, international partners, ministries and missionaries with the OMS World Intercessors team.

Philip and Fiona are from England and previously served in Tanzania, East Africa from 2002–2010 through another mission agency, where they trained pastors, lay leaders, young adult leaders, children’s workers, and women’s leaders through teaching, building teams, and writing resources. While there, they adopted their two precious daughters, Bethany (born 2003) and Jasmine (born 1997).

God provided training for Philip through London School of Theology and later a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies at Asbury Seminary (USA). Fiona was blessed to study for a degree in Theology and Ministry in Durham, UK. They are honoured to be serving Jesus for the nations and pray for the Lord to keep on teaching, moulding, leading them and working through them by the Holy Spirit.
