Leslie and Brenda Reid, along with their two children, Darina and Liam, served for many years with OMS in Mexico City. Leslie comes from Northern Ireland, and Brenda from Mexico.
From 2014 to 2017, Leslie ministered with a national church called UNIFAM (Families United in Christ) in an area called Cuautitlan in a support role, ministering alongside a national Pastor. Brenda was involved in ministry at home, as she home-schooled their children, Darina and Liam. She was also involved in ministry in pastoral care with both missionary ladies and nationals.
Then from 2017 until 2022, as a family they all served in a community centre in church planting. Leslie and Brenda taught English classes, their daughter Darina taught dance classes and Leslie held Discovery Bible Studies out in the community. When COVID hit they continued to minister through moving their activities to online platforms.
In 2022, they relocated to Northern Ireland and took up ministry roles in the UK. Leslie is serving as Northern Ireland Area Representative, linking with churches, prayer groups and mission organisations. Brenda had been working in the UK office as Training Officer but is now exploring the possibility of developing a ministry to support those living with autism and their families. Please pray for her to be clearly led by God in this. Darina is attending college in Armagh and Liam is completing his home-school studies online.
They hope to be able to return to Mexico at some point in the future, Lord willing.
